Check-in was easy, and we were given a map with helpful tips. Convenient location for ferry to Stykkisholmur and exploring the Westfjords. Big kitchen, dining area, and plenty of bathrooms. Warm and comfortable room with good bedding. Common spaces with great views and sofas for lounging.

This room was like a dream! The moment I walked in, I was blown away by the breathtaking sea view. It felt like I was on top of the world, I just couldn't get enough. As a nature lover, this view made my heart sing!
For me, personally, the only downside was that the WiFi signal was a bit weak. But hey, who needs WiFi when you have that stunning view in front of you?

We got great value for our money with a basic room that had a comfortable bed and a stunning view of the mountains, water, and beach through a huge window. The location was perfect, close to hot pots, puffin cliffs, and food places, yet still tucked away in the beautiful countryside. The staff, especially the owner, treated us well and even provided us with breakfast when we asked, despite it not being available at that time of year.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was if there was more selection available.

This villa was conveniently located near the ferry to Flatey Island and had stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The lounge area and kitchen were comfortable and well-equipped. The villa provided face cloths, which was a pleasant surprise. Despite some drawbacks mentioned in other reviews, our stay was enjoyable overall.

The helpful hosts and nice breakfast were some of the highlights of my stay. The two cute dogs were a pleasant surprise and added to the warm atmosphere. The property was clean and comfortable, and if you get a beach view room, the view is excellent. I also appreciated the tradition of keeping shoes outside, which helped keep the place clean.
There were a couple of downsides to my stay. The room only had one plug, which was connected to the lamp, making it difficult to charge multiple phones and devices.

The room at Rauthsdalur was a cozy haven with a stunning sea view. It made me feel relaxed and peaceful, like I was floating on a cloud. The sight of the sea every morning was a refreshing treat for my soul.
I found the pillows a bit too soft for my liking, but some people might enjoy it.

During our stay at Rauthsdalur, we arrived earlier than expected because of a change in our ferry schedule. The hosts were extremely accommodating and allowed us to start cooking in the kitchen, even though it wasn't yet check-in time. Linda and Bram were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The kitchen was well-stocked and had a great shared refrigerator. We also loved the beautiful view and had the pleasure of meeting some friendly fellow guests. Despite the shared bathroom, we never encountered any waiting time.
Although we didn't find any oil or salt in the kitchen, we arrived late and it's possible that we simply missed them. However, this was a minor issue and overall, we didn't have any serious complaints.
